Article 22 of the Federal Law “On Veterans” describes in detail the benefits that labor veterans can enjoy after receiving the appropriate status. There are much fewer real beneficiaries than before, and their number will decrease even more if the government raises, as promised, pension benefits for non-working pensioners in 2021 (remember that in 2021 this is promised to be done by 7%, and in 2021 by 6%). .6%. 3. People who have worked in production for many years and have received a certain status (labor veteran) for conscientious work are entitled to a discount on housing and communal services, compensation for payment for a landline telephone, or a free visit to a specialist at a government medical institution. But he can receive money only if he refuses the package provided and writes an application for monetization. In some regions there is no such provision, and the list of benefits for retired labor veterans may differ depending on the place of residence.
4. Benefits are determined in detail only at the local or regional level. Of the documents adopted at the all-Russian level, we can only recall the law of 1916, which regulates even such social assistance based on the criterion of insufficient provision and extreme need.

There is no information about a possible increase in veterans' payments in 2019, since the concept itself has been abolished at the federal level.

People who have received the appropriate certificate from the Pension Fund of Russia can count on an additional payment up to the subsistence minimum (means level) or an increase in pension on a general basis.

What can you count on

As this year, in 2021, in January the pensions of those who receive old-age insurance payments will be indexed. The government promises that the amounts will be increased by 7.05%. Recipients of social pensions (and there are also such old people among labor veterans) can count on an increase in their income as early as April. State payments for labor veterans are provided only for military personnel, astronauts and test pilots, and the amount of payments will be increased in October 2021.
