The situation with pensions

The government may revise the pensions of miners in Russia depending on the economic situation in the country. As for miners' pensions, in 2014 the Russian government was going to limit the privileges of miners; the issue of pensions was especially acute. However, prudence prevailed.

In 2021, the country's leadership does not intend to infringe on miners' rights. In addition to high pensions, the right to early retirement is retained, in accordance with Federal Law No. 400-FZ of December 28, 2013. "On insurance pensions." It states that people working in difficult conditions have the right to early retirement. The power of this privilege is also confirmed by government decree No. 665 adopted in 2014. It states that the following categories of workers in the mining industry have the right to early retirement:

• those who have reached retirement age;
• mining minerals in quarries;
• who worked a full shift for a full 25 years, and this is reflected in the work book;
• mountain rescuers;
• installers of mine structures and communications.

Categories of miners who have preferential length of service after working in their position for 20 years with even earlier retirement:

• longwall miners;
• coal combine operators;
• miners;
• coal miners using jackhammers to cut coal.

What other benefits do children receive?

School institutions also have discounts for the fact that children of miners must first of all be admitted to an educational institution. And here the problem for the majority is acute. Miners can count on monetary rewards in the form of bonuses for the quality of work done or for length of service. The bonus is given only once a year, or you can choose a pension supplement. Benefits of a secondary order are also considered. This also includes financial assistance in the event that a miner is injured at work or becomes disabled. Lethal outcome is also taken into account.

A worker or family in any of the options has financial assistance from the state to varying degrees. In the event of a death, the family receives assistance from the insurance company, with the help of the authorities, one million rubles, as well as benefits that provide a free funeral for the employee. If an employee has a disability, then he has the right to choose a specialty and study for free in order to go to another job. The degree of severity can also vary greatly. How to get benefits in 2021

To take advantage of the benefit for early receipt of pensions, miners must provide a package of documents to the Russian Pension Fund at their place of residence. They are required to bring a passport, work record book and a certificate of employment indicating the number of years worked. It is noteworthy that training and military service are included in the length of service for miners, which allows them to become “preferential” pensioners 1-5 years faster.

To receive a monthly pension supplement, miners must also submit certificates to the territorial office of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation. The amount of additional payment depends on many factors, which include contributions to the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation, paid by the direct employer and all companies in the region, the average salary of miners in Russia, the length of service of an individual employee and the amount of his salary for the last 2 years of work, or any 5 years within a certain period of time.

Miners' pension

As was written above, to receive a pension an employee must have 25 years of experience. But for those miners who personally took part in mining, the period of work for pension is 20 years. An accident at work is also added to the length of service. At this point, the employee's age is reduced by one year. If the work was carried out underground, then the reduction is 10 years for men. For women it is 7.5 years. For a miner, the preferential length of service also includes the period of military service and the time of training.

From November 1, the amount of additional payments to the pensions of pilots and miners will change

The average surcharge in the next three months of 2021 will be 3,845.26 rubles. The maximum payment amount will be 6656.88 rubles.

The ratio is established by the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation quarterly and is used to adjust the amount of the supplement to the pension.

Additional payments are established subject to the required special experience. The amounts of additional payments are set individually for each recipient. The adjustment is carried out every three months (from February 1, from May 1, from August 1 and from November 1).

The Board of the Administration of the Kemerovo Region announces the holding in 2021 of the regional stage of the all-Russian competition “Russian Organization of High Social Efficiency”.

Note! Miners' pension benefits are subject to periodic indexation in accordance with the level of inflationary price increases.

The amount of the additional payment will be calculated according to a formula that takes into account the length of service that gives the right to additional payment to the pension, the miner’s average monthly earnings for the last two years of work in the mine, or for five years in a row (the maximum is selected), as well as the amount of insurance premiums paid by the country’s coal mining enterprises for the previous month.

All procedures are carried out upon receipt of an application from the applicant for recalculation. It is worth noting that this procedure, like payments and appointments, takes place in this order if the application is accepted:

• in the first quarter – from May 1 of the current year;
• in the second quarter – from August 1;
• in the third quarter – from November 1;
• in the fourth quarter - from February 1 of the following year.

Every year on the last Sunday of August, Miner's Day is celebrated in Russia. This year this holiday falls on August 30th.

• For men working in the Far North and equivalent areas, the transition period will last from 2021 to 2023 - during this period, their age will gradually increase. Starting from 2023, the retirement age for them will be finally fixed at 60 years.
• For women, transitional provisions will also apply during the period 2019-2023, with the final value being fixed in 2023 - 55 years.

If we take into account 2001, then according to calculations, the salaries of mining hoists were in seventh place among the leading industries. In total, the preferential pension provision for workers amounted to 16,000 rubles and was no different from the pension provision for workers in other industries. Miners receive unreasonably low wages for their harmful, hard and dangerous work.

Currently, the industry employs about 300 thousand people, including more than 42 thousand people of retirement age, and in the age group under 30 years old the number of workers is only 21.5 percent of the total number of industry personnel. In 2017, the average salary of employees was about 37,000 rubles. a foreman can have more, from 50,000 rubles. This also includes bonuses, which sometimes reach 25 percent. And the amounts may vary in different cities. Fact: pensions and benefits are still too low for such a difficult and deadly profession.
