Social pensions will be indexed for non-working pensioners, disabled people, as well as minor citizens who have lost their breadwinner or those whose both parents are unknown. Non-working pensioners receiving an insurance pension . Insurance pensions of non-working pensioners will be indexed by 6.3%. The size of the fixed payment (as part of the insurance pension) and the cost of one pension coefficient after indexation will increase accordingly.

Who will have their pension increased from April 1, 2021?

The increase from April 1, 2021 applies to social pensions of all three types - old age, disability and loss of a survivor. At the same time, monthly payments for state pensions are being increased. About 4 million citizens will receive the increase, of which 3.2 million pensioners receive a social pension.

According to Art. 25 of Law No. 166-FZ of December 15, 2001 “On State Pension Provision”, the indexation coefficient is set depending on the growth rate of the pensioner’s subsistence level (PLS) in the previous year. Based on this, the Government plans to increase pensions in April 2021 by 2.6%.
