Average pension for a prosecutor
According to the chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, Vasily Piskarev, the average prosecutor’s pension in Russia was about 20 – 22,000 rubles before the law “On the Prosecutor’s Office” came into force. As a result of the transformations that took place last year, the pensions of prosecutors and employees for class rank were taken to increase pensions by an average of 6-7 thousand rubles.
Current legislation provides for the appointment of pension payments to retired employees of the prosecutor's office for service lasting at least 20 years. The amount depends on their salary, taking into account monthly bonuses for length of service. Pension provision for former prosecutors and investigators complies with the legislative norm on pensions for former military personnel.
According to Federal Law No. 4468-1 of February 12, 1993, citizens who previously served in the prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation and members of their families are classified as citizens living in special conditions similar to the military, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Fire Service, drug control agencies, criminal justice executive bodies.
Increase in pensions for military pensioners from October 1, 2021
In 2021, pension increases are planned for military pensioners, as well as former employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Russian National Guard, the Federal Penitentiary Service, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other departments. The funds needed to increase military pensions are already provided for in the federal budget law. According to the text of Law No. 385-FZ of December 8, 2020, pensioners will receive an increase as a result of indexation from October 1, 2021 of the amount of military allowances, taking into account which the amount of the pension is calculated.
Increase in military pensions in 2021 (latest news)
In 2021, there will be a planned increase in pensions for military personnel and pensioners who served in the Russian Guard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Penitentiary Service and other departments. From the text of the law on the federal budget it follows that the increase in payments will be made as a result of indexation of the pay of military personnel, taking into account which the military pension is calculated.
Today, employees of the military prosecutor's office have an equal position with their civilian colleagues. However, there are some differences in calculating the pension provision of a military prosecutor from a civilian one. In the case of military prosecutors' offices, the amount depends on length of service and rank promotion.
This rule also applies to prosecutors. A citizen will be able to receive an increased pension after the employment relationship is terminated. The recalculation procedure is carried out within 3 months from the date of dismissal.
Indexation news for working prosecutors
News reports that regarding the pension of prosecutors in 2021, there have been changes regarding the conditions for the appointment of this type of security. Payments to prosecutors have not been adjusted for several years in a row.

The refusal to index salaries, as the publication notes, was part of the Ministry of Finance’s plan to save the budget. In 2021 and 2022, this would help save almost 200 billion rubles. On the other hand, the activities of the prosecutor's office and the Investigative Committee are regulated by separate laws, so the Ministry of Finance is not responsible for the level of their salaries.
Anatoly Vyborny, a member of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, suggested that the decision to index payments to employees of these departments was dictated by the specifics of their work. Investigators and prosecutors are less able to distance themselves from direct contacts, unlike employees of other departments. Therefore, the increase can be considered additional pay for serving on the front line during a pandemic. Inflation, as the newspaper notes, is expected to be 3.8%.
Commenting Rules
“Employees of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Investigative Committee will have their salaries, bonuses, pension supplements and other types of income indexed by 5.7% from October next year, as follows from the amendments to the draft budget. In the previous version of the document, already approved by the State Duma in the first reading, it was assumed that in 2021 their salaries, like civil servants of other federal departments, would not be increased,” writes the Izvestia newspaper.

Calculation
The future prosecutor's pension consists of factors such as length of service and reasons for retirement - retirement age, illness, disability, layoff. Before resigning, the government employee is assigned a so-called severance pay. Its sizes vary depending on the length of time worked:
- less than 10 years – 5 salaries;
- from 10 to 15 years – 10 salaries;
- from 15 to 20 years – 15 salaries;
- more than 20 years – 20 salaries.
It is important to know! Payment of pensions in the city of Omsk
The pension amount is calculated from the official salary, allowances and bonuses. 80% of the total amount of payments received is the prosecutor's pension. If a person has worked in his position for more than 20 years, then an additional payment is provided in the amount of half of the established pension.
Let's consider an example of calculating a pension for a prosecutor with 15 years of work experience. A senior prosecutor at the Prosecutor General's Office has a salary of 20,000 rubles + 100% additional payment for work under special conditions + double salary as a monthly incentive. In total, it comes out to 80,000 rubles.
- pension amount (80%): 80,000 * 80% / 100% = 64,000 rubles;
- with experience exceeding 20 years (+50%): 64,000 * 50% / 100% = 32,000 rubles;
- total: 64,000 + 32,000 = 96,000 rubles.
If there is no length of service, then the calculation is based on the number of full years worked in the prosecutor's office.
Pensions for prosecutors from February 1, 2021
- The salary level varies in the range of 100,000 rubles, while the salary at the time of reaching retirement age, in accordance with his position, is only 35,000 rubles.
- The value of the coefficient for the existing rank, according to table No. 1 given earlier, is 23% - equal to 35,000 rubles. * 23% = 8,050 rub.;
- The value of the length of service coefficient according to table No. 2 given earlier is 45% - equal to 35,000 rubles. * 45% = 15,750 rubles;
- By adding the 2 values obtained and the previously calculated salary, the following amount is determined: 35,000 + 8,050 + 15,750 = 58,800 rubles;
- From the ratios established by the laws of the Russian Federation in the amount of 80%, the following amount is obtained: 58,800 * 80% = 47,040 rubles.

Pension changes in 2021
In 2021, for military prosecutors, the pension is equal to the payments to Sledkom employees. The increase coefficient depends on the rank of the civil servant. On average, the pension should increase by 6 - 7 thousand rubles, like other employees of the Prosecutor General's Office, subject to long years of service and high rank.
This category of employees can count on payments if they have 20 years of experience, but if a citizen worked in different institutions, he will need a total experience of 12.5 years before reaching the age of 45. In this case, the military prosecutor is awarded a pension for length of service.
Pension increase
Starting from February 1, 2021, pensions of employees of the prosecutor’s office and the Investigative Committee were supposed to increase by 30%. However, according to other data, the average premium will be 4%. The presence of awards for service, an academic degree, or a high rank significantly affects this indicator. Annual indexation in the future will affect only those individuals who receive subsidies and insurance payments, since the provision depends on the federal budget, the size of which, in turn, is affected by inflation.
The salaries of prosecutors and employees of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, on the basis of which pensions are calculated, depend on judges' salaries and do not increase in the same way as pension payments for citizens dismissed from military service.
Will there be an increase in salaries for prosecutors in 2021?
Employees of the prosecutor's office, including the prosecutor general's office, receive salaries from budget funds. Therefore, you can find out when the salary change is planned and whether it will happen at all in the process of distributing these funds by the country’s leadership. The government note to the already adopted budget details who will get and how much money.
According to preliminary data, based on intermediate values, inflation for 2021 will be no more than 4.3%. This means that the salaries of prosecutors will increase by 4.3%. In 2021, in connection with the state reorganization, military prosecutors and investigators were included in the structure of the Prosecutor General's Office and the Investigative Committee; this event equated the rights of military prosecutors and investigators with the rights of their civilian colleagues. An important difference in calculating the pension of a military prosecutor is the fact that his salary depends on promotion of rank and military merit.

In order to independently calculate the size of your future pension, it is not enough to know the position and salary of a prosecutor’s office employee. In this matter, the reason for retirement, the total length of service in the prosecutorial system and in prosecutorial positions in particular are of great importance. In addition to the job coefficient, former prosecutorial employees are entitled to a bonus for continuous work experience.

Official data indicate that 2.5 billion rubles have been allocated in the federal budget for increasing payments for 2021 and 6.2 billion for the period 2021–2021. Despite the State Duma’s plans to increase the pension along with the bonus to 26–30 thousand rubles, in fact, there was no significant increase in payments. Since the approval of the bill, the prosecutor's pension this year has increased by 1,200 - 1,500 rubles.
As a result of the increase in pensions, it is expected that the salaries of authorized persons in this category will be indexed by 4% annually.

Vladimir Putin: Russians’ pensions are increasing faster than inflation
Although the salary of prosecutors is not that small, employees still expect a raise. A superficial attitude to work can have certain undesirable consequences: increased crime, increased corruption and decreased responsibility of the population.
If you do not have the required 25 years of service, the option of receiving a minimum pension is considered. At the same time, its amount is calculated based on the number of years worked in a prosecutorial position. Employee salaries increase almost every year and directly depend on judges' salaries. In 2021, it is planned to introduce an additional payment to the basic pension rate, the amount of which will be 2,500 rubles.
If an employee of the prosecutor's office has more than 20 years of work experience in the relevant structures, confirmed by documents, and continues to carry out his work activities to this day, he acquires the opportunity to receive monthly financial assistance in the amount of half the pension provided by the state.
Pensions for prosecutors in Russia in 2021: size, latest news
The organization of pension provision for retired prosecutors' office employees is carried out on conditions similar to the procedure for registering pension payments for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The amount of pensions for prosecutors depends on the length of their work experience, as well as a number of other important factors:

The main and only (if it is met) condition for assigning long-service payments to such employees is the presence of 20 years of work experience in the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation as an employee with a special rank.
Question answer
Prosecutor's office employees are government employees who are supported by the budget. Payments of benefits for this category of citizens are carried out by analogy with the procedure for calculating pension payments for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Pensions of former officials are indexed annually, so their amount depends not only on length of service and the state of the federal budget, but also taking into account the reason for retirement. The next indexation led to the recalculation of pension payments. In this regard, a number of issues have arisen that will be covered in this article.
What time do prosecutors retire?
Until 2009, the Federal Law “On the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation” (clause 2, article 43) established the age limit for prosecutors' office employees at 60 years. The State Duma introduced an amendment, increasing the retirement age to 65 years and allowing the extension of official powers to 70 years. However, you can retire based on disability and long service. But if a citizen finds a job again, then payments stop until dismissal from the prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation.
At the time of retirement, an organ worker must reach the minimum age of 45 years.
Pensions for prosecutors from February 1, 2021?
Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated January 24, 2018 “On establishing coefficients applied to the amount of additional payments for class rank, taken into account when calculating the monthly pension supplement for certain categories of pensioners.” As stated by the Chairman of the State Duma Committee V.I. Piskarev, starting from February of this year, coefficients for calculating additional payments for rank have been assigned, which will increase annually. This means the higher the rank, the greater the pension. In addition, the government has enshrined indexation at the legislative level.
Thus, the Russian government set a course for increasing prosecutor’s pensions, which did not change until 2014. In turn, a law enforcement officer who wants to know his future pension can apply to the Pension Fund for this information. After dismissal, it is enough to provide the Pension Fund with a work book, salary certificate, SNILS, pension application and passport.
A table has been published with the timing of pension indexation in 2021: who will receive an increase and how much
In this regard, from August 1, 2021, working pensioners for whom policyholders (employers) paid insurance premiums in 2020 will receive an increased pension. However, the increase will only affect recipients of old-age and disability insurance pensions.
The maximum increase, which is made in August, is limited to only 3 points (pension coefficients), converted into cash equivalent. As of August 1, 2020, the cost of 1 coefficient will be 87 rubles 24 kopecks. Therefore, pensioners will not receive an increase of more than 261 rubles 72 kopecks (87.24 rubles x 3) from August 1, 2021.
